Skol Fruit Beer is a beer brand designed as one of my final projects for my final year studying Graphic Design. Seeing a gap in the drinks market for beers designed for everyone, not just men. The drink encourages women to try out beer without being intimidated by the idea of ‘beer’ or a fear of judgement. Research shows that many women say they would feel more comfortable drinking a beer with a fruit flavour and Skol Fruit Beer does just that. The drink includes unique flavours that are all locally sourced in Scotland, where the brand name comes from. ‘Skol’ is a Scandinavian word for cheers that has been adopted into Scottish culture used in informal settings. This celebrates the culture behind Skol Fruit Beers as a social connection.
First based in Glasgow, Scotland the beer aims to expand throughout the UK . Skol Fruit Beer breaches the gap in the market for fruit beers that are targeted towards a younger market. As a conscious brand the drink is made using only fresh, locally sourced ingredients brewed sustainably. Taking in the concerns of a Gen Z audience to create an eco-conscious beer that stands out on the shelf. The bottles are made for a drinking occasion whether that be at the pub or party setting, or just casual drinking with friends!
